ASUS MX299H model with the AH-IPS technology guarantees perfect picture. It reduces colour fading to a minimum and ensures quality images when viewing from almost anywhere. One of great advantages is its panoramic visual experience in high resolution of 2560x1080 pixels, so that two windows could fit perfectly side by side. The monitor features a 0.8mm thin bezel and slim profile - with only 16.4mm at the narrowest point. Requirements for desk space are therefore minimal. Subtle but elegant design has been enhanced with a mount in a sundial form which provides a highly stable base. The design has been awarded with the 2012 Good Design Award .

Furthermore, it is equipped with an ASUS SonicMaster sound system, co-developed with the Bang & Olufsen company. It is able to refine every detail to perfection and provide crystal clear sound - richer and clearer vocals, larger frequency range and higher volume. The monitor also offers a HDMI port, DVI and professional DisplayPort. These ports enable new opportunities for fun, as they ensure compatibility with a variety of devices such as Blu-ray player and gaming consoles. HDMI supports the new MHL standard, connecting mobile phones and tablets.
Exclusive QuickFit Virtual Scale feature enables you to view photos and documents on the screen in actual size before printing. The function can be activated by an easily accessible button. Thanks to the ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio (ASCR) technology achieves LCD contrast ratio 80000000:1. This technology enhances contrast and sharpness settings of the backlight to achieve the darkest black and the brightest white. This results in a perfectly lifelike image.
