Android operating system
The display uses the Android 14 operating system, which supports installing apps directly onto the 32GB of internal storage. Users can customise the work environment to the specific needs of the meeting room or classroom. A quad-core processor with 4GB of RAM processes running programs. The system includes an integrated web browser, file manager, and PDF document viewer.
Connecting with the iiyama Pro large format display
Connectivity includes a USB-C interface for video, data, and 15W power delivery over a single cable. The USB-C loop-through function is used to daisy-chain several display units together. The HDMI version 2.0 graphics inputs are complemented by an RJ-45 data connection for connecting to a computer network. It also features two USB 2.0 ports for connecting external storage media.
Content management and iiSignage²
The iiSignage² software platform is used for remote management and creation of digital signage content. Administrators can securely control the displayed information, schedule broadcast timetables, or change visual elements remotely. The iiControl tool is used for the bulk management of all installed displays in an organisation. The system supports centralised updates and the setting of security locks for the menu.
Wireless sharing with the iiyama Pro large format display
The built-in EShare app and iiShare software tool are used for wireless screen sharing from mobile phones, tablets, or laptops. Users can stream and edit content in real time directly on the screen's desktop. The system supports interaction from several users simultaneously for teamwork. This feature aids in preparing presentations and transferring information during meetings.
FailOver function for continuous operation
The FailOver function automatically detects the presence of a signal on the display's inputs. If the signal from the primary source is lost, the device switches to the next pre-defined input in the sequence without delay. This mechanism prevents content display interruptions in information systems. The device supports continuous operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A pair of integrated 2×10W speakers provides sound for the room without needing to connect external audio systems. The metal front frame and 8H hardness glass increase its resistance to mechanical damage.
