QNED evo Mini LED for striking contrast and rich colours
QNED evo technology with Mini LED backlighting uses smaller light sources to more accurately render both bright and dark parts of the image and highlight fine details. The Dynamic QNED colour Pro feature expands the colour palette and achieves a certified 100% colour volume, making films, sports broadcasts and other content look vibrant and colourfully rich.
The alpha 8 AI 4K Gen2 processor optimises every frame
The alpha 8 AI 4K Gen2 processor analyses the displayed content and uses artificial intelligence to optimise the image. AI Picture Pro, together with alpha 8 AI Super Upscaling 4K and Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, adjusts the sharpness, textures, depth, brightness and contrast of individual scenes. It also upscales lower-resolution content to bring it as close as possible to 4K quality. In addition, automatic brightness control adjusts the display to the current lighting conditions.
AI HDR Remastering gives SDR content a new dimension
The AI HDR Remastering feature analyses standard SDR content and automatically adjusts its colours, brightness and contrast to give the image a more pronounced dynamism. The TV supports HDR10 and HLG formats, while FILMMAKER MODE allows you to watch films with picture settings that respect the original creative intent.
Smooth gaming at up to 144Hz VRR
The native 120Hz panel supports a variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz, so fast-paced game scenes remain smooth and clear. AMD FreeSync helps to synchronise the refresh rate with a compatible gaming device, while ALLM automatically activates the low-latency mode. The features are complemented by HGiG, Game Optimizer and the Game Dashboard, where you can conveniently adjust your game settings right in the middle of a game. 4K at 120fps via HDMI and the QMS and QFT features are also supported.
The game portal provides access to games even without a console
Through the webOS system, you can use supported cloud gaming services and launch selected games without a classic console. The game portal provides access to compatible games and services, including NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The gaming experience is enhanced by Motion Booster 288 and support for Bluetooth Ultra Low Latency controllers, which helps reduce the response time of wireless controls for cloud gaming. The availability of individual gaming services, titles and compatible controllers may vary by region, and some services may require a subscription or gamepad.
AI Sound Pro creates a more spatial sound
The TV has a 20W 2.0-channel sound system. The alpha 8 AI Sound Pro technology analyses the content being played and creates virtual surround sound in up to a 9.1.2 configuration. Clear Voice Pro helps to enhance spoken word, Adaptive Acoustic Tuning adapts the sound to the conditions in the room, and the WOW Orchestra function allows you to use the speakers of both the TV and a compatible LG soundbar simultaneously when connected.
webOS 26 with smart AI features
The webOS 26 operating system offers access to streaming apps, LG Channels, an internet browser and other smart services. The AI Hub brings together AI Search, AI Concierge, AI Voice ID, AI Chatbot, AI Picture Wizard and AI Sound Wizard. AI Search also uses Google Gemini and helps you search for relevant information directly through the TV. The security of the smart environment is ensured by LG Shield technology. The webOS Re:New programme allows you to receive operating system upgrades for up to 5 years, although the scope and schedule of updates may vary by model and region.
Easy control with the AI Magic Remote
The included AI Magic Remote allows you to control the cursor with a motion sensor, much like a computer mouse, and quickly scroll through menus with the scroll wheel. The AI button provides access to smart features, and supported options can also be controlled by voice. It includes intelligent voice recognition and the AI Voice ID feature, which allows you to work with personalised user profiles.
AI features for sports fans too
The Sports Forecast feature, via AI Concierge, uses team statistics and performance to offer information and predictions related to sports matches. Sports Alert, on the other hand, allows you to follow information about the schedule, results, and other events of your favourite teams directly on the TV screen.
Smart home and wireless sharing
Home Hub and LG ThinQ allow you to manage compatible smart home devices directly from your TV. The LG 85QNED8MB6A also supports Apple Home, Apple AirPlay, and Google Cast, so you can easily stream photos, videos, and other content from a compatible phone, tablet, or computer to the big screen.
Linear Flow Design and LG Gallery+
The Linear Flow design uses clean lines and a metallic-looking back, creating an elegant whole whether placed on a stand or mounted on the wall. Without the stand, it measures 1,890 × 1,088 × 72.4mm and supports VESA 400 × 400mm mounting. The LG Gallery+ service allows you to display selected art and visual content when the TV is not in use; the availability of this paid service may vary by country.
Wide range of connectivity options
There are 3 HDMI inputs supporting 4K at 120Hz, eARC, VRR, ALLM, QMS, and QFT. Other features include USB 2.0, an optical digital audio output, Ethernet, a CI slot, and two RF inputs. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. Integrated DVB-T2, DVB-C, and DVB-S2 tuners allow for terrestrial, cable, and satellite reception. The eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) is available via the HDMI 2 connector.
