- Allergodil 0.5 mg/ml Eye Drops is used to treat allergic conjunctivitis (allergic conjunctivitis) and allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva and nasal mucosa (allergic rhinoconjunctivitis), which manifest themselves in redness, itchy or watery eyes, sometimes accompanied by sneezing or a watery nasal discharge, itching in the nose or a feeling of a stuffy nose.
- The product is intended for adults, adolescents and children from 4 years of age.
- The active ingredient is azelastine hydrochloride, a potent long-acting anti-allergy agent with a rapid onset of action and high efficacy in alleviating allergy symptoms.
- It can be used long term (up to 6 weeks).
- It is used topically, has a low rate of interactions and contraindications.
- It does not contain corticosteroids.

An allergy is an exaggerated, disproportionate reaction of the body's immune system to substances it normally encounters in its environment. Allergies are a disease of civilisation, with up to 40% of the European population suffering from some form of allergy. Allergies are increasing overall, but they are also changing over time and becoming more aggressive. Allergic rhinitis affects the social sphere of patients' lives with its clinical symptoms, contributes to school absenteeism in allergic children, and reduces the productivity of adults. In the past, allergic rhinitis was considered a trivial disease, but nowadays it is clear that it is a significant risk factor for the development of bronchial asthma. Allergic diseases occur at certain times of the year (e.g. pollen allergy, sometimes called hay fever), or year-round (e.g. allergies to house dust mites or dog and cat hair). They are manifested by red, itchy or watery eyes, sometimes accompanied by sneezing or a watery runny nose, itchy nose or a feeling of a stuffy nose. Allergodil is indicated for the treatment of these symptoms. It is available not only in the form of eye drops, but also in the form of Allergodil nasal spray, for quick relief from nasal allergy symptoms (sneezing, pinching or itching in the nose, watery rhinitis and stuffy nose), which very often occur together with eye symptoms.

💊 Use
To properly practice the dosing method of Allergodil, it is recommended to apply the first dose in front of a mirror. Wash your hands before using the drops.
1. Gently wipe the wet areas around the eyes with a clean tissue.
2. Unscrew the cap from the bottle and make sure the dropper is clean.
3. Gently pull down the lower eyelid.
4. Gently drop one drop into the centre of the inner side of the lower eyelid. Do not touch the eye with the dropper.
5. Loosen the lower eyelid and gently press the inner corner of the eye against the top of the nasal dorsum with your finger. With your finger still pressed against the nose, blink slowly a few times to spread the drop over the entire surface of the eye. Wipe any residue of the product away from the eye.
6. Repeat the procedure on the other eye.
The usual dosage for adults, adolescents and children 4 years and older is one drop in each eye twice daily. In periods of severe difficulties, the dosage can be increased to one drop in each eye four times a day. Treatment with Allergodil should be limited to a maximum of 6 weeks as there is no experience with longer administration.
🍃 Ingredients
The active substance is: azelastine hydrochloride. One ml of the solution contains azelastine hydrochloridum 0.5 mg. One drop contains azelastine hydrochloridum 0.015 mg. Excipients are: benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate dihydrate, hypromellose 2910, liquid crystallizing sorbitol 70%, 1 mol/l sodium hydroxide solution, water for injection.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the medicinal substance or to any excipient. Children up to 4 years old.
📦 Storage
Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box after "Use by:" and on the blister after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated.
