Unless otherwise directed by a physician, the recommended dosage of the product is: Adults: 1 tablet 3 times a dayThe therapeutic effect can be increased by taking 2 tablets 2 times a day.

Ambroxol AL 30 belongs to the group of expectorants, mucolytics. Ambroxol, the active ingredient in the drug, increases mucus secretion in the airways, the production of pulmonary surfactant (a substance that coats the inner walls of the lung chambers) and stimulates the activity of cilia that ensure the movement of mucus. These effects result in more profuse liquefaction, better transport and expulsion of mucus (mucociliary clearance), thus facilitating expectoration and relieving discomfort. Ambroxol AL 30 is used in acute and chronic inflammatory and infectious diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract. These are e.g. acute and recurrent bronchitis, laryngitis and tracheitis, rhinitis and inflammation of the nasopharynx (and associated inflammation of the middle ear and sinuses), and chronic diseases such as. chronic bronchitis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Acute and chronic respiratory diseases are accompanied by increased production of viscous bronchial mucus and difficult expectoration. Mucolytic treatment (i.e. reducing the viscosity of mucus) facilitates this expectoration. Ambroxol AL 30 is indicated for adults and children from 12 years of age.
