APC Smart-UPS 3000VA LCD 230V with SmartConnect

APC Smart-UPS 3000VA LCD 230V with SmartConnect
The APC Smart-UPS 3000VA is a line-interactive UPS that delivers stabilised power for servers, network elements, and other key IT infrastructure. With an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 2700W, it covers the needs of demanding business applications. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects network fluctuations without switching to battery power, thereby extending its service life. The pure sine wave output is compatible with sensitive electronics and power supply units with active Power Factor Correction (PFC). For management, it uses the SmartConnect cloud portal and PowerChute Business Edition software. This ensures the UPS for servers maintains operational continuity and protects data from loss during a power outage. The clear LCD panel on the front displays key operating parameters and simplifies configuration.
Key features of the APC Smart-UPS 3000VA LCD 230V with SmartConnect
- Line-interactive topology with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
- Pure sine wave output protects sensitive electronics
- Remote cloud monitoring of the unit's status via the SmartConnect port
- PowerChute Business Edition software for controlled server shutdown
- Hot-swappable user-replaceable battery without interrupting power
- Clear LCD display shows operating statuses and measured values
Performance and stability for business infrastructure
The UPS uses a line-interactive topology for effective real-time power stabilisation. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) actively compensates for input voltage fluctuations over a wide range without engaging the battery. This protects connected devices from damage while also extending the battery module's life. The output voltage provides a pure sine wave to power sensitive electronics, such as servers or network elements with power supply units featuring active Power Factor Correction (PFC). With an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 2700W, this UPS can handle even more demanding setups in smaller server rooms or corporate networks.
Battery and protection
The unit contains a lead-acid battery that the user can replace while it is running, without needing to shut down connected devices. A full recharge to full capacity takes approximately 3 hours. At a full load of 2700W, it provides backup power for 5 minutes and 4 seconds. With a half load of 1350W, the time extends to 17 minutes and 12 seconds, which provides time for a controlled system shutdown. In addition to backup during an outage, the UPS also protects connected equipment from surge damage. The integrated protection circuit absorbs energy spikes of up to 365J, and a separate port also protects the network cable from surges spreading along the data line.
Remote management and automation
The UPS integrates several communication interfaces for management and monitoring. The SmartConnect port connects the UPS directly to the APC cloud, from where you can monitor its status and operating parameters via a web interface. The system automatically sends notifications about battery status or detected problems. A serial port and a USB interface are used for local management and configuration. With these, you can connect the UPS to the PowerChute Business Edition software. The application manages the automated and graceful shutdown of connected servers and virtual platforms during a prolonged power outage, thus actively helping to protect data from corruption.
Connectivity and sockets
On the rear panel, there are eight IEC C13 sockets and one IEC C19 socket for devices with higher power consumption. It also includes two IEC Jumper cables. An IEC C20 connector is used for power input, and the device includes input cables with Schuko and BS1363A plugs.
