Aqua Aurea Diona Max FAM1

Aqua Aurea Diona Max FAM1
The Aqua Aurea Diona Max FAM1 filter jug with a glass container is an improved successor to the original Diona (dTest winner in the container filter category) with three times the volume and capacity of filter media compared to conventional filter jugs (4-stage filtration). Removes chlorine, chlorine compounds, pesticides, heavy metals, radon, hormones, antibiotics, reduces arsenic, etc. It significantly improves the taste of water and does not affect the mineral composition of water, does not remove nitrates and nitrites. It is suitable for bacterially harmless water with a nitrate content that meets the standard (i. e. up to 50mg/l NO3-), but ideally up to 10 mg/l NO3-, with a nitrite content that complies with the standard (i. e. up to 0.5 mg/l NO2-), a COD (Mn) value lower than 4 mg/l and an arsenic concentration lower than 10 µg/l. Water is also suitable for infants from 6 months of age if the nitrate content is less than 10 mg/l NO3- and the nitrite content is less than 0.1 mg/l NO2-.

How to put the filter into operation
Remove all parts of the filter from the packaging material. Wash the glass with the plastic funnel and lid in warm water and wash the filter insert in cold water. Insert the filter insert with the seal into the funnel and press lightly to prevent unfiltered water from leaking into the filtered water, and place the funnel with the filter insert on the kettle. Pour water, about 1 liter, and let it drip. The first 3 liters of water may be coloured black by the activated charcoal scrub . Finally, pour about 1 liter of water into the funnel and let it drip again. The water treated in this way is ready for drinking and further treatment and can be stored in the refrigerator.

How to care for a filter jug
The kettle is dishwasher safe, but the plastic funnel with lid cannot be washed in the dishwasher because they are made of a semi-natural material that can be washed with warm water. Wash the filter element with cold water and it is advisable to wash the seal with cold water after approximately 5 months of operation. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, protect the kettle from direct sunlight and prevent the filter cartridge from freezing, which is suitable for temperatures between 5° and 25° C.
