Arcam CD5

With its design, the ARCAM CD5 is a perfect match for the amplifiers from the Arcam Radia series and although it will work reliably in any audio system, connecting it to an A5, A15 or A25 amplifier will give you an aesthetically and technologically coordinated unit. The CD5 supports playback of CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 audio discs, as well as discs with high-resolution FLAC and WAV encoding. The rear USB-A port expands the player's capabilities and, after connecting a USB flash drive or HDD, allows playback of FLAC, WAV, WMA, MP3 and AAC music files in Hi-Res resolution up to 24-bit/96kHz. In addition to the front panel controls, convenient operation is also possible via the simple remote control in the Radia Yellow design.

Design – Simply Cool

The fresh and modern design with clean lines and subtle yellow accents creates the perfect balance between originality and elegance. The construction uses high-quality components with a long service life and also brings some unconventional solutions. For example, the display is hidden behind the matte front panel and when the device is not in use, it is not visible and does not spoil the aesthetic impression. In addition, it can be turned off even during operation so as not to distract the listener. Another aesthetic feature is the rear metal extension, which not only hides the connectors (e.g. if you need to place the player close to the wall), but also unifies the design when integrating the CD5 into a system of other audio components from the ARCAM RADIA series, where this element also serves the function of a hidden Bluetooth or Wi-Fi antenna (e.g. the ARCAM ST5 streamer).
