Glucosamine is a natural component of articular cartilage and contributes to its nutrition and repair. ARTAXIN helps to gradually reduce pain and improve joint function, and its effect usually develops over several weeks of regular use. It is not intended for immediate relief of acute pain, but for long-term influence of difficulties associated with joint wear.
The preparation is taken once a day in the form of two capsules, which are swallowed whole with water. The recommended duration of use is at least three months. ARTAXIN is intended for adult patients and is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

ARTAXIN 625 mg is used to relieve symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee. It is intended primarily for patients who suffer from knee pain during movement, stiffness of the joint after prolonged rest or limitation of mobility due to wear and tear of the articular cartilage. The preparation is suitable for long-term use, because it does not act immediately, but its effect develops gradually over several weeks.
The usual adult dose:
2 hard capsules once a day, equivalent to a total daily dose of 1250 mg of glucosamine. The capsules are swallowed whole and washed down with plenty of water. The product can be taken before, during and after meals. The recommended duration of treatment is at least 3 months. If there is no improvement after 2 to 3 months of use, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
ARTAXIN is not indicated for the treatment of acute joint pain. Relief of pain and stiffness may occur after a longer period of regular use. The product is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
If a dose is forgotten, the next dose is taken at the usual time without doubling the dose. The use of the medicine should not be discontinued just because the symptoms improve, as the symptoms may reappear.

Do not take ARTAXIN 625 mg if you are allergic to glucosamine, to any of the excipients, or if you are allergic to the shellfish from which glucosamine is made.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting use, especially if you have impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes, as more frequent blood sugar monitoring may be necessary. Increased caution is also needed in patients with risk factors for cardiovascular disease, as cases of elevated cholesterol levels have been reported.
