Safety and quality of service (QoS)

The HPE Aruba 2530 24G 2SFP+ switch supports flexible authentication methods, including local MAC, 802.1X, and a site for enhanced application security. It also features a variety of protective systems against DOS, such as DHCP, ARP dynamic protection, and dynamic IP blocking. ACL and QoS lists are available for traffic checks. IEEE 802.1p prioritisation classifies real-time traffic into eight priority levels assigned to two or four queues using WDRR or strict priority (SP).

ClearPass Policy Manager and Airwave Network Management

The switch is compatible with ClearPass Policy Manager, allowing for a uniform policy across the entire network for both wired and wireless users. This tool simplifies the implementation and management of login credentials for users, network access, security, QoS, and other networking rules. Elsewhere, Airwave Network Management provides a common platform for managing and monitoring all compatible corporate devices.
