The product is used to treat the symptoms of dry eye syndrome (dry conjunctivitis), which is caused by a failure to wash the sensitive surface of the eye with tears. The most common symptoms of dry eye syndrome are burning, the sensation of a foreign body or sand, Pressure, eyestrain, the sensation of the eyelids sticking to the eye, light flush, pain when instilling eye drops, poor tolerance of being in the wind, in a smoky room, in an air-conditioned environment, deterioration of vision towards the evening, fluctuations in vision during the day and, paradoxically, increased tearing.
The product can be used by adults, adolescents and children of all ages. The active substance of the preparation - povidone K30 - is a water-soluble mixture of homogeneous polymers, which, by their suitable binding, help to replace the loss of the natural protective film on the surface of the cornea in people affected by "dry eyes", i.e. a condition that occurs when tear production decreases. The package contains 10 ml.
Dosage and method of use
Always use this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is 1 drop into the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye up to 4 times a day. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve within 3 days, you must consult a doctor. The product is intended for permanent use. However, do not use the product for more than 5 days without consulting your doctor.
Contraindications
Read the package insert carefully. Regular corneal eye examinations by a physician are required during treatment with the product.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before using Arufil. It is not yet known whether the product crosses the placenta or passes into breast milk.
Notice
Do not use Arufil if you are allergic to the medicine or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Arufil. Regular corneal eye examinations by a physician are required during treatment with the product.
Storage
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C, keep the bottle in the box to protect the product from light. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use for more than 6 weeks after first opening. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the label of the bottle and box after EXP. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist what to do with the products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
