ASROCK B850M PRO RS WIFI

ASROCK B850M PRO RS WIFI
The ASROCK B850M PRO RS WIFI motherboard is built on the AMD B850 chipset with an AM5 socket, supporting AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. Its compact mATX (Micro ATX) form factor makes it ideal for smaller builds where balancing performance and space is key. The board features four DDR5 slots with dual-channel support and overclocking capabilities up to 8000MHz via Intel XMP or AMD EXPO profiles. The processor is powered by an 8+2+1 phase design with integrated Dr.MOS modules, which provide a higher current capacity per phase and better thermal properties than traditional discrete MOSFETs.
Key features of the ASROCK B850M PRO RS WIFI motherboard
- Supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 processors with AM5 socket and 8+2+1 phase Dr.MOS power delivery
- Four DDR5 slots with dual-channel support up to 8000+MHz (OC) via XMP and EXPO profiles
- PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with steel reinforcement and a Blazing M.2 slot with Gen 5.0 speed (128Gb/s)
- Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with 6GHz band support and Dragon 2.5Gb/s LAN card
- Aluminium heatsinks for the power delivery (VRM) and M.2 slot
- Polychrome RGB lighting with synchronisation and BIOS Flashback function without a processor
Expansion slots and storage
For the graphics card, there is one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with steel reinforcement, which provides additional anchor points, a stronger latch, and signal stability even when installing heavier cards. A second PCIe 4.0 x4 slot expands connectivity options for other components. For storage, the board offers three M.2 connectors – one Blazing M.2 with PCIe Gen5 x4 support, reaching transfer speeds of up to 128Gb/s, and two Hyper M.2 with PCIe Gen4 x4. All M.2 slots are equipped with a heatsink underneath that dissipates heat through the PCB, keeping SSDs at an optimal temperature. Four SATA III ports are available for older storage devices.
Intelligent cooling
The board is fitted with aluminium heatsinks on key components for effective heat dissipation during demanding tasks like gaming or professional use. The performance of SSDs is maximised by M.2 slot heatsinks, which prevent thermal throttling by dissipating heat through the PCB. The six-layer PCB contributes to stable signal paths and more efficient power distribution, which is particularly advantageous for memory overclocking. This approach to cooling ensures system stability.
Network connectivity and wireless technology
Network connection is provided by a 2.5-gigabit Realtek Dragon LAN card, which offers higher bandwidth than standard gigabit Ethernet – ideal for transferring large files, streaming, and online gaming. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6E with 6GHz band support, which provides higher capacity, lower latency, and faster data transfers. Bluetooth is also included for connecting peripherals.
