The ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero BTF motherboard is the foundation for building a high-performance PC with AMD Ryzen processors. The advanced architecture with the AMD AM5 socket supports modern hardware standards for the smooth running of demanding applications. The board offers a special high-performance graphics card slot that can transfer high power without external cables. This slot delivers up to 600W of power directly through the motherboard to compatible BTF-standard graphics cards. The system therefore doesn't need the traditional 8-pin or 16-pin power cables at the front.

Hidden connectors
This ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X motherboard delivers revolutionary cable management thanks to its BTF technology. All power connectors, fan ports, and USB headers are located on the back of the circuit board. This system eliminates visible cables in the main chamber of the PC case and simplifies overall component installation.
Power system
A robust power delivery system, consisting of multiple phases, ensures stable processor power. The system uses a total of 18+2+2 phases for reliable voltage distribution even under heavy system load. The board features metal VRM heatsinks that efficiently dissipate heat from the power components into the surrounding area. Cooling is also supported by dedicated connectors for fans and high-performance water pumps, which helps maintain optimal temperatures for all key hardware parts.
DDR5 memory technology
The motherboard offers four DDR5 memory slots with support for Dual-Channel configuration. NitroPath DRAM technology enhances signal routing and enables overclocking frequencies of up to 8600MHz. The total addressable system memory capacity can reach up to 256GB. This system significantly increases the stability of memory modules and strengthens the slots themselves, which show a 57% higher resistance to being pulled out.
Storage and PCIe 5.0
For installing fast SSDs, it offers a total of five M.2 standard slots. Three of these slots support the PCIe 5.0 interface with high throughput for the fastest storage available on the market. The remaining two slots operate on the PCIe 4.0 interface, and the board also includes four classic SATA III ports. This combination provides ample space for storing large data files and game libraries, and ensures a fast operating system boot.
Connectivity and Wi-Fi 7
Wireless network connectivity is provided by an integrated Wi-Fi 7 module with support for the 6GHz band. Wired connection is handled by a dual Ethernet port with speeds of 2.5Gb/s and 5Gb/s for smooth transfer of large data volumes. The rear panel features two high-speed USB 4.0 ports with a throughput of up to 40Gb/s. These ports are used for fast file transfers from external drives or for connecting modern high-resolution monitors.
