ATIX is a medical device that is designed to safely remove ticks attached to the skin. The spray is applied to the tick, in which it produces a strong freezing effect. This will limit the transfer of body fluids, which may contain pathogenic microorganisms, from the tick to the wound. The simple application allows quick and safe removal of the tick together with its oral tract using the included tweezers. In the case of ticks parasitizing the skin for more than 24-48 hours, it is very often the case that disease transmission is provoked by improper tick removal. ATIX causes the walls of the suction system to freeze and retract, thereby closing the pathway for fluids that may contain pathogenic microorganisms.
Dosing:
The ATIX spray is for external use only, topically on ticks. Hold the container vertically, point the nozzle opening of the dispenser at the tick head from a distance of 1-2cm so that the applied dose hits the tick head area. Press and hold the dispensing nozzle until the entire dose has been applied. Repeat the treatment as needed and according to the size of the attached tick. Do not exceed three applications to the same site. The preparation should be applied directly to the tick.
Tick size - recommended number of doses:
1-2 mm: 1 dose
3-4 mm: 2 doses
Immediately after applying the spray, grasp the oral part of the tick as close to the skin as possible using tweezers and slowly pull upwards vertically. Do not try to pull the tick out by the head or body, as it could break off and the mouthparts could then remain under the skin. Disinfect the tick removal site and tweezers. Wash your hands with soap and water.
Contraindications
The product is intended for external use only. Do not use on mucous membranes. Do not use if the packaging is damaged. Do not use directly on the skin and in case of hypersensitivity to cold (cold urticaria). Repeated application of the product directly to the skin in the same place can lead to frostbite. In this case, let the product evaporate and then wash the application site with plenty of warm water (not hot! ) and dry. If local frostbite occurs (whitening or redness of the tissues, swelling, soreness), contact a doctor. If swelling and redness around the injection site occurs after removal of a tick parasitic on the skin for more than 24 hours, the appearance of a ring-shaped rash or redness at the site of the tick or elsewhere on the body, to chills, fever, headaches, see a doctor. The above symptoms may indicate the onset of infection before the tick is removed. |

Use only according to the instructions for use. The tank is under pressure. Do not puncture the container or burn it after use. Do not spray into open flames or on hot objects. Do not store near a source of combustibles, do not smoke.
Storage
Use the product in well-ventilated areas. Keep out of reach of children. Protect it from sunlight and heat above 50 °C.
