AudioDesign PMU 501 BP
The PMU 501 BP radio audio system with headset microphone is the ideal tool for streams, podcasts, lectures, training sessions, and more. The wireless system consists of a bodypack (waist-worn transmitter) and a miniature UHF receiver with a 6.3mm jack connector, which plugs directly into a mixing console, amplifier, or active speaker. Thanks to the Auto Scan function, the microphone finds a free frequency (from 659.1 to 682.6MHz) and automatically pairs with the connected device. The PMU 501 BP headset offers 48 selectable channels and has a wireless range of up to 30 metres. There's also a Mute button for instant sound muting and a practical display that shows the currently selected frequency and other operational information. The transmitter is powered by two AA batteries, while the receiver features an integrated rechargeable battery.

High-Quality Sound Transmission up to 30 Metres
The UHF headset PMU 501 BP has a wireless range of up to 30 metres, giving you maximum freedom of movement on stage, during lectures, training sessions or live broadcasts. The system offers a total of 48 selectable channels, allowing you to find a free frequency and thus avoid potential signal interference. Finding the optimal frequency and pairing the transmitter with the receiver is automatic. The display on the transmitter body is used to check or set the channels, and it also shows the battery status and other information.
The AudioDesign PMU 501 BP Consists of Two Parts
The AudioDesign PMU 501 BP wireless system consists of two main parts—a condenser (electret) microphone with a headset, which picks up the sound and sends it to the bodypack (waist-worn transmitter), which then forwards the sound to the receiver connected to a speaker or other device. The bodypack is powered by 2 standard AA batteries, while the receiver has an integrated lithium battery that is recharged via a micro USB cable (included).

Microphone Principle
A dynamic microphone is suitable for open performances, live broadcasts, music production, etc. It uses a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
A condenser microphone is mainly used for studio purposes. It has higher sensitivity and lower noise. It requires a separate power supply.
Frequency Range
The frequency range indicates the range of frequency values that the microphone records. The wider the range, the more sounds it can capture.
Low frequencies (e.g., 20–200Hz): Bass, the lowest tones of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g., 200–3,000Hz): The body of instruments, the foundation of the voice where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g., 3,000–14,000Hz): Treble, details, sibilance, and the "shine" of the sound.
Air band (above 14,000Hz): Adds a sense of expensive, super high-quality sound and space to recordings.
Sensitivity
Microphone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to acoustic pressure. It indicates how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given acoustic pressure; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments as it doesn't unnecessarily amplify ambient noise.
