Dosage and method of use
Use:
Audispray Dolo ear drops are a medical device whose effect is based on the osmotic properties of glycerol. Glycerol is used in ear drops for two basic properties:
1. The oil consistency of glycerol, which allows it to gently adhere to the skin at the application site and ensures its protective properties
2. Hygroscopicity of glycerol, which provides the ability to remove water from swollen tissues (due to osmotic effect), which leads to a reduction in swelling and therefore pain relief
Glycerol softens the earwax, helps to remove it and, thanks to its water-binding ability, removes excess fluid from the tissues of the ear canal (osmotic effect), which leads to the alleviation of the unpleasant sensation accompanying inflammatory conditions in the ear, such as. ear pain and swelling.
Lidocaine is used as a surface numbing additive, adding to the effect of glycerol and helping to relieve ear pain. Audispray Dolo has a supportive effect in:
1. Inflammatory conditions with symptoms of swelling, pain and itching in the external ear canal
2. Discomfort accompanied by pain caused by regular exposure to water and moisture, for example when swimming in a pool; | -
3. Discomfort accompanied by pain caused by prolonged wearing of headphones or by accumulated earwax forming sebaceous plugs in the external ear canal; | -
4. Discomfort accompanied by pain caused by the regular use of cosmetic cleaning products that destroy the natural layer protecting the outer ear canal, such as shampoos, soaps and gels.
Dosing:
Adults and children over 12 years of age:
2 drops in each ear a maximum of 3 times a day. If there is no improvement within 3 days, or if you feel worse, consult your doctor.
Children older than 6 months:
2 drops in each ear a maximum of 3 times a day. Use only under the supervision of an adult or physician, If there is no improvement within 3 days, or the condition worsens, consult a physician. When used in children, protect the ear with a cotton swab after administering the ear drops. Not to be used in children under 6 months of age. The effectiveness of treatment should be monitored by a physician.
Contraindications
Do not use Audispray Dolo:
- If the packaging is damaged
- If you have a damaged eardrum (e.g. in case of chronic otitis media)
- Use only after a proper hearing check by a doctor
- If you have been diagnosed with an allergy to one of the ingredients in the product
- If the expiry date on the packaging has been exceeded
- If the patient has been operated on or had surgery on the ear
- For children under 6 months of age
- In case of long-lasting pain or swelling caused by an inflammatory condition of bacterial or fungal origin - always consult a doctor
- In case of ear discharge
- If symptoms worsen or do not improve after three days of use, or if you have a fever, contact a doctor
- Persistent pain or swelling may be a sign of a bacterial or fungal infection that may require different or more appropriate treatment
