Auraton Carina Programmable Socket with Battery Backup
The Auraton Carina programmable smart plug with backup battery is used for the automatic switching of connected electrical appliances indoors. This standalone timer switch operates on a 230V AC supply at a 50Hz frequency with a power consumption of 1.5W. The IP20-rated device can handle a maximum resistive load of 16A and an inductive load of 6A, while the total power consumption of the connected appliance must not exceed 3600W. Its design, featuring an integrated LCD display and control buttons, makes it easy to set operating modes directly on the device, which plugs into a standard type F mains socket.

Flexible time schedules
The plug offers extensive options for setting time schedules for different days of the week. Users can program up to 8 on/off cycles for each day, which means a total of 56 programmes per week with 1-second precision. The cycles help to optimise the operation of heating, cooling, lighting or irrigation systems.
Functions
The device offers additional modes for specific situations at home. The random on/off function simulates the presence of people in the building by irregularly switching on connected lighting. If needed, the user can switch to manual control mode and turn the appliance on or off immediately without disrupting the saved programmes.
Backup power and memory
The integrated battery protects saved data from being deleted during a power cut. The backup battery will keep the set programmes and screen status for approximately one week without mains power. When the power supply is restored or the device is plugged back into the socket, it resumes its set mode.
Light indication of operation
The current status of the device is indicated by two built-in light-emitting diodes on the front panel. The green LED indicator confirms a correct connection to the 230V mains, while the red LED lights up when the output is active, indicating that there is power in the socket. This gives the user an instant overview of the status of both the power supply and the connected appliance.
