FST ABC-1245D, 12V, 45A

FST ABC-1245D, 12V, 45A
The FST ABC–1245D, 12V, 45A traction battery charger is designed for charging lead-acid batteries (flooded WET maintenance and maintenance-free, AGM maintenance-free with absorbed electrolyte) used for various purposes (car batteries, motorbike batteries, traction, stationary or backup batteries). It is not designed to charge batteries other than lead-acid ones. The device is equipped with several electronic protection features. If the two terminals on the output cables are accidentally connected, the charger will automatically switch off, thus preventing a short circuit. If the user connects the terminals to the battery incorrectly, i.e., reverses the polarity, with the positive terminal on the negative pole and the negative on the positive, the charger will automatically switch off. If the charger is operated under demanding conditions, it may become overloaded, in which case it will automatically switch off and stop supplying power.

Pulse Maintenance Mode and Current Limit Functions
When the pulse maintenance mode (PULSE CHARGE) function is switched on, the red diode next to the relevant button lights up and the maintenance mode system changes. After the main charging mode is finished (when the value reaches 10% of the rated charging current), it will always switch to the so-called maintenance mode. Without the PULSE function switched on, the battery is permanently maintained by a weak current to prevent a drop in voltage; with the PULSE function switched on, the charger maintains the battery using regular, repeating pulses. When the current limit function (CURRENT LIMIT) is switched on, the red diode next to the relevant button lights up and the charging current is reduced by about 1/4 at the full power of 45A. This function is suitable for smaller batteries, where the reduced charging current prevents excessive heating and wear of the batteries.
