The Quatros QS14187P kit is specially designed for repairing damaged M16 × 1.5 threads. Use it when a new larger thread cannot be cut. You can also use it to strengthen threads in softer materials such as aluminium or some alloys. The kit is easy to use. The damaged thread is drilled out with a drill bit, then the thread is cut with a tap, into which the spring insert is screwed. Break off the protrusion in the insert with a cutter and the new thread of the original size M16 × 1.5 is ready. The drill and tap are made of high quality HSS 4341 steel. The set is stored in a plastic case. The Quatros QS14187P set is for professional use.
