Beta-carotene

In the composition you will find, for example, beta-carotene derived from carrot extract. This important carotenoid and pigment is responsible for the orange to yellow-red colour of carrots and other crops. It is also referred to as provitamin A because it is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is one of the reasons why beta-carotene is added to creams and other products designed for bronzed skin. However, the carotenoid group also includes lycopene from tomato extract.
