The Beefeater brand has deep roots. When enthusiastic pharmacist James Burrough acquired his own distillery, he initially produced liqueurs, punches, and fruit gins. In 1876, he personally selected the finest oranges from London's famous Covent Garden market and created a juicy, fresh orange gin. Beefeater Blood Orange Gin is a return to that original recipe, which was far ahead of its time. It is based on a total of 10 botanicals. Traditional juniper berries are complemented by lemon and orange peel, almonds for a hint of marzipan, coriander seeds, orris root, liquorice, angelica root, angelica seeds, and, above all, the distinct natural flavour of blood oranges. This orange delight adds a new dimension to the classic Gin & Tonic, but don't be afraid to experiment. Try it with flavoured tonics, such as elderflower.
