The BenQ X3100i is a 4K gaming projector with DLP technology that projects an image in native 3840×2160 resolution. BenQ designed this projector for consoles, ensuring smooth gameplay thanks to its low input lag. It uses a 4LED light source with a brightness of 3300 ANSI lumens, which is sufficient for projection even in partially lit rooms. Visual performance for immersive gaming
The projector uses a DLP chip to project an image in native 4K UHD resolution of 3840×2160. 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and a 600,000:1 contrast ratio with Dynamic Black technology contribute to a detailed picture in both dark and bright scenes. Gamers can take advantage of the low 4.16ms input lag at 240Hz and 1080p resolution. Specialised game modes such as FPS, RPG, SPG and RCG are also available, as well as an FPS Crosshair function for precise aiming.
Brightness and long lifespan
The 4LED light source in the projector provides a brightness of 3300 ANSI lumens, which is sufficient for projection in typical living rooms without the need for a complete blackout. The light source lifespan is 20000 hours in normal operating mode. In the power-saving ECO mode, the lifespan extends up to 30000 hours, reducing running costs and the need to replace the light source throughout the projector's lifetime.
Easy projection customisation
A throw ratio of 1.15–1.50, along with a 1.3× optical zoom, enables flexible adjustment for an image screen size of 254 to 381cm from a distance of 2.5 to 5 metres. The projector includes a vertical lens shift of 40–60%, which adjusts the image position vertically without digital distortion. The setup is complemented by automatic 2D keystone correction, both horizontally and vertically within a ±30° range, which automatically straightens the image when the projector is placed off-axis.
Connectivity and smart features
The integrated Google-certified Android TV operating system gives you access to apps like Netflix and YouTube. Sound is handled by two 5W chamber speakers with CinematicSound technology, Bongiovi DPS, and Dolby Atmos support. For connecting game consoles and other devices, there are two HDMI 2.0b ports with eARC, which transmit high-quality audio. Connectivity is rounded off with a USB 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio output, RS232, a 12V trigger, and wireless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
