The EfficientDry function helps you achieve better dried dishes without needing to dry them further by hand. After the programme ends, the door of the BOSCH SMD6ECX17E Serie 6 dishwasher opens automatically, which allows moisture to escape, reduces condensation and gently cools the dishes at the same time. This more natural way of drying also helps to save energy.
Open Assist opens the dishwasher with a touch
The Open Assist function lets you open the fully integrated dishwasher by simply pushing on its front panel. The door opens partially, and you can then continue to open it comfortably to load or unload the dishes. This handle-free solution is particularly suitable for modern kitchens with clean and unified front surfaces.
Stainless steel with a lower carbon footprint
Our Class A dishwashers, made in Germany, contain a proportion of CO₂-reduced stainless steel. This specially manufactured material is carefully tracked and assigned to these dishwashers via a certified mass balance system.* Compared to conventional stainless steel, it has a carbon footprint that is up to 40% lower.**
*During production, the reduced-CO2 stainless steel is mixed with conventional stainless steel but is allocated to our energy efficiency class A dishwashers based on a mass balance calculation (according to ISO 22095), verified and confirmed by TÜV Rheinland.
**The reduced-CO2 stainless steel consists of 95% higher-quality recycled material. The comparison is against conventional stainless steel used in the production of our dishwashers.
More intensive washing with the Extra Clean Zone
The Extra Clean Zone helps remove stubborn dirt from dishes placed in the upper basket. A trio of rotating water jets intensifies soaking and spraying in this area without needing to increase the amount of detergent or the water temperature. Simply activate the function and the dishwasher will provide more intensive care exactly where it's needed.
TimeLight displays the programme's progress on the floor
With a fully integrated dishwasher, you don't have to open the door to see how long the programme has left. The TimeLight function projects information about the current wash cycle, including the remaining time, directly onto the floor. This means you always have an overview of the dishwasher's activity.
Emotion Light illuminates the interior
The Emotion Light function provides clear illumination of the dishes inside the dishwasher. A light located in the upper part automatically turns on when the door is opened and turns off again when it's closed. This makes loading and unloading dishes more convenient, even in poor ambient light.
Certified hygienic performance
The Eco 50°C programme achieves a hygiene level certified by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology, and effectively eliminates viruses such as influenza and coronaviruses. An even higher level of hygiene can be achieved with the Intensive 70°C programme or the Machine Care cycle, which are also effective against more resistant enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.
Dosage Assistant for efficient detergent use
The Dosage Assistant helps to use the washing tablet evenly and effectively. After being released from the dispenser, the tablet drops into a special collecting tray in the upper basket, where it gradually dissolves. This allows the detergent to be evenly distributed throughout the cycle and contribute to clean, residue-free dishes.
Smart Start chooses the right moment
Smart Start helps you manage your appliance's energy consumption more strategically. This feature automatically selects the dishwasher's start time based on one of two presets you can set in the Home Connect app, which considers two parameters within the wash cycle: The availability and proportion of renewable energy (such as solar or wind) or lower energy costs when your electricity rates are at their lowest.*
*Cost savings require compatible high and low electricity tariff switching. Optimisation is performed either to maximise the share of renewable energy in the grid or to reduce costs. The availability of features may vary by country.
Additional programmes to download
You can expand the dishwasher's range of options using the Programme Download function. Through the Home Connect app, you can get additional washing programmes that better match specific needs or types of dishes. This allows the BOSCH SMD6ECX17E Serie 6 to adapt to situations for which the basic set of programmes is not ideal.
