A wide selection of wash programmes
Eco 50 °C
An economical programme for normally soiled mixed dishes and cutlery that optimises water and energy consumption.
Auto 45–65 °C
The automatic programme uses sensors to adapt the wash cycle to the current soil level and adjusts the cycle parameters as needed.
Intensive 70 °C
A programme designed for heavily soiled pots, pans, durable dishes and cutlery with dried-on or baked-on food residue.
Short 60 °C
A programme for when you need clean and dry dishes faster. It completes a full cycle in less than 90 minutes.
Quick 45 °C
A time-saving programme especially suitable for lightly soiled dishes, glasses, cutlery and more heat-sensitive materials.
Silent 50 °C
A programme optimised for the quietest possible dishwasher operation. It reduces the spray pressure and extends the wash phase to limit noise while maintaining effective cleaning.
Favourite
Lets you save a frequently used combination of a wash programme and an additional function, and then easily start it with a single command.
Better drying results with EfficientDry
The EfficientDry function helps you achieve better-dried dishes without needing to dry them further. After the programme finishes, the door of the BOSCH SMV6ECX18E Serie 6 dishwasher automatically opens slightly, allowing moisture to escape, reducing condensation and gently cooling the dishes. This more natural way of drying also helps to save energy.
Stainless steel with a lower carbon footprint
Our Class A dishwashers, made in Germany, contain a proportion of CO₂-reduced stainless steel. This specially manufactured material is carefully monitored and assigned to these dishwashers via a certified mass balance system.* Compared to conventional stainless steel, it has a carbon footprint up to 40% lower.**
*During production, CO2-reduced stainless steel is mixed with conventional stainless steel, but is allocated to our Class A energy efficiency dishwashers based on a mass balance calculation (according to ISO 22095), verified and confirmed by TÜV Rheinland.
**CO2-reduced stainless steel consists of 95% higher-quality recycled material. The comparison relates to the conventional stainless steel used in the manufacture of our dishwashers.
More intensive washing with the Extra Clean Zone
The Extra Clean Zone helps remove stubborn dirt from dishes in the top basket. A trio of rotating water jets intensifies soaking and spraying in this area without needing to increase the amount of detergent or water temperature. Simply activate the function and the dishwasher will provide more intensive care exactly where it's needed.
TimeLight displays the programme progress on the floor
With a fully integrated dishwasher, you don't have to open the door to see how much longer the programme will run. The TimeLight function projects information about the current wash cycle, including the remaining time, directly onto the floor. This keeps you updated on the dishwasher's activity at all times.
Extremely quiet operation with Silence Pro
Silence Pro technology helps keep the dishwasher's noise level to just 38dB. During normal operation, the BOSCH SMV6ECX18E Serie 6 is therefore very discreet and is also suitable for open-plan kitchens connected to living areas, where low noise levels are particularly important.
Proven hygienic performance
The Eco 50°C programme achieves a level of hygiene verified by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology, and effectively eliminates viruses such as influenza and coronaviruses. An even higher level of hygiene can be achieved with the Intensive 70°C programme or the Machine Care cycle, which are also effective against more resistant enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.
Dosage assistant for efficient detergent use
The dosage assistant helps to use the washing tablet evenly and effectively. After being released from the dispenser, the tablet drops into a special collection tray at the top of the basket where it gradually dissolves. This allows the detergent to be evenly distributed throughout the cycle and contribute to clean, residue-free dishes.
Smart Start selects the right moment
Smart Start helps you manage your appliance's energy consumption more strategically. This feature automatically selects the dishwasher's start time based on one of two presets you can configure in the Home Connect app, which considers 2 parameters within the wash cycle: The availability and share of renewable energy (such as solar or wind) or lower energy costs when your electricity rates are lowest.*
*Cost savings require compatible high and low electricity tariff switching. Optimisation is performed either to maximise the share of renewable energy on the grid or to reduce costs. Feature availability may vary by country.
Download additional programmes
You can expand the dishwasher's range of options using the Programme Download function. Through the Home Connect app, you can get additional washing programmes that better match specific needs or dish types. The BOSCH SMV6ECX18E Serie 6 can thus adapt to situations for which the basic set of programmes is not ideal.
ActiveWater uses water efficiently
We designed the ActiveWater system to wash dishes thoroughly while minimising resource consumption. Instead of just using more water, it uses it more efficiently. Thanks to targeted spraying, rapid circulation and advanced filtration, our dishwashers achieve hygienically clean and sparkling dishes. This efficient design allows us to achieve these results with less water and therefore less energy to heat it.
Quiet operation with SilentPowerDrive
Dishwashers with SilentPowerDrive ensure efficient washing at a low noise level. They are equipped with a brushless motor designed for energy-efficient operation. The motor helps reduce friction noise and contributes to the appliance's smooth and quiet running.
10-year anti-rust warranty
High-quality materials and workmanship in the interior allow us to offer a 10-year warranty against the interior rusting from the inside out. The dishwasher's construction is thus ready for long-term daily use.
Intensive Zone for heavily soiled pots and pans
The Intensive Zone function enhances the washing effect in the lower basket by increasing the spray pressure and water temperature. It is therefore suitable for heavily soiled pots and pans, while you can simultaneously wash more delicate dishes in the upper basket. The function can be combined with a range of washing programmes according to the current load.
Automatic programmes adapt the wash to your dishes
You don't have to guess the ideal settings yourself every time. Automatic programmes adjust the water temperature and rinse cycle according to the amount of dishes and how dirty they are. The dishwasher uses just the right amount of water and the correct settings needed for the current load.
Get an overview of your usage with Statistics
The Statistics feature in the Home Connect app gives you a clear overview of how you actually use your appliances. You can see which programmes and settings you choose most often, as well as your total energy and water consumption over time. Thanks to the 12-month history, you can easily track how your choices affect your consumption month by month – giving you a clear picture of your daily habits.
Consumption forecast before starting a programme
Wondering how much energy and water a given programme will use? The Consumption Forecast feature in the Home Connect app shows you the estimated energy and water consumption, as well as the expected duration for each selected combination of programme and optional function. This allows you to calmly compare options and choose the programme that best suits the current dishes in the dishwasher and your needs.
Automatic notifications straight to your phone
You don't have to keep checking if the dishwasher is finished. With automatic Home Connect notifications, you can receive information about the current programme status and other useful alerts on your mobile device. This way, you easily know what's happening with the dishwasher, even when you're out of the kitchen.
Remote diagnostics make troubleshooting easier
If the appliance isn't working correctly, Remote Diagnostics can help. After contacting customer service and with your permission, the dishwasher can be checked remotely to locate any potential problem and recommend a suitable solution. If a technician visit is necessary, the service team can better prepare for the next steps thanks to the information obtained.
Control the dishwasher with your voice
The BOSCH SMV6ECX18E Serie 6 can also be connected to a compatible Amazon Alexa device thanks to Home Connect, letting you control selected functions with voice commands. The availability of the relevant Alexa skill depends on your country and language settings.
Silence on Demand quietens the dishwasher whenever you want
When you need a moment of peace and quiet at home, you can activate Silence on Demand via the Home Connect app. This function reduces the dishwasher's noise to a minimum for up to 30 minutes, while the wash cycle continues. It's useful during a call, while working, or when you're relaxing.
Favourite setting at the touch of a button
The Favourite programme function lets you save a combination of a frequently used programme and an additional function. For example, you can combine Eco 50°C with the ExtraDry function and launch the saved setting later with a single touch, either directly on the control panel or via the Home Connect app.
Lifetime AquaStop warranty against water damage
Every Bosch appliance undergoes precise checks according to strictly set standards for quality, performance, and sustainability. All Bosch dishwashers have the AquaStop system and a lifetime warranty against water damage, as well as a ten-year warranty against the rusting through of the inner tub.
