Focal length 24-70mm
The range of the lens covers a wide-angle focal length, ideal for landscape and architecture. The maximum zoom position will enable you to achieve a focal length of 70mm at a constant f/4 aperture. The 9-sided curtain aperture will enable you capturing distant objects, or create breathtaking portraits, with a lightly blurred background.
Macro mode
By rotating the ring switch to Macro mode, you will sharpen up to 0.38 m at any zoom setting and at a maximum magnification ratio of 0.7 ×, which will result in an amazingly detailed macro photo.
Image stabilizer technology
Canon EF 24-70mm f / 4.0 L IS USM is equipped with Image Stabilizer (IS) technology to assure that your images will always be perfectly sharp even when taken with only one hand. In addition, the system automatically detects movement of a moving object and, in such a case, will automatically shut down stabilization. Hybrid IS in Macro mode detects tilts and shifting.
Advanced autofocus
Auto focusing by means of an ultrasonic ring motor enables fast and noiseless autofocus, even in poor light conditions. There is also the option of fully manual image sharpening, which provides for perfect control when targeting an object.
