The Canon EOS 5D Mark III digital SLR is a super-fast reportage camera equipped with a newly designed 22.3 megapixel full-frame Canon CMOS sensor (36 × 24 mm). The sensor allows you to capture detailed and clear images in the lowest possible noise under all circumstances. For a whole new level of performance, the EOS 5D Mark III uses a DIGIC 5+ Image Processor. You can also make high-quality Full HD recordings with a resolution of 1980 x 1080 points and speed of 30, 25 and 24 frames per second. Ideal for fixed focus situations, the EOS 5D Mark III can shoot up to 6.0 fps (RAW + JPEG). Multiple exposure shots can be taken in both RAW and JPEG shooting modes - you can capture 16,270 JPEG images or 18 RAW image files in one sequence.

The camera is sensitive in extremely low-light situations (EV-2 for a central point with a f/2.8 lens) and can be used to create shallow depth of field to emphasize the foreground image.
