The original vaginal suppositories bring tension, nourishment and elasticity to the tissues thanks to the hyaluronic acid content. Cicatridina® vaginal suppositories work thanks to the presence of hyaluronic acid, a mucopolysaccharide that is abundantly distributed in many body tissues. Thanks to its ability to retain water, hyaluronic acid forms a film that hydrates, accelerates and improves the process of epithelial renewal and tissue healing.
Indications
Auxiliary treatment in healing processes of atrophic and dystrophic vaginal mucosa. It helps healing after childbirth and gynecological surgery, in cases of dystrophy after chemotherapy and ionizing radiation. Treatment of vaginal dryness of various kinds.
Method of administration
Wash your hands before and after using the medical device.
- separate the suppository from the blister along the perforated line
- remove the suppository by pulling the two wings of the blister
- hold the suppository with your fingertips
- lie on your back and insert the suppository deep into the vagina
Ingredients
Sodium salt of hyaluronic acid 5 mg, oil extract from the Asian umbilical cord, Calendula oil extract, oil extract of aloe vera, Australian tea tree essential oil, semi-synthetic glycerides, BHT.
Recommended dosage
Adults:
Use one suppository daily or as prescribed by your doctor, preferably at night before bedtime to prevent product leakage.
Do not hold the vaginal suppository in your fingers for too long, it could dissolve. The duration of use depends on the development of symptoms; Cicatridina® vaginal suppositories can be used on a long-term basis if needed. In any case, after 30 days of continuous use, discontinue treatment for a week.

Read the instructions carefully before use! Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your physician. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or incompatibility with any component of the product. In particular, prolonged use of all topically applied products may lead to symptoms of hypersensitivity. In these cases, or if you experience other side effects, discontinue treatment and consult your physician to initiate appropriate treatment. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. Don't swallow. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or if it is not perfectly intact when first opened. Do not use after the expiry date. The shelf life refers to the product properly stored in unopened packaging. The product is intended for vaginal use only. The suppository dissolves after insertion into the vagina, so a whitish, odourless discharge may occur. Since no specific clinical studies have been conducted, in case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult a physician before using the product.
