The SLM224GT is a budget-friendly switch from a world leader in network services, Cisco Systems. It is ideal for small and emerging businesses. Offers 24 copper ports with standard Fast Ethernet. The switch allows a throughput of 200 Mbit/s and automatically detects the connected cable type. The switch also has 2 copper Gigabit ports and 2 SFP slots (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) modules for Mini GBIS.
The SLM224GT supports advanced technologies like QoS (Quality of Service) for smooth transmission of sensitive data (voice, video) in real time. Great emphasis has been placed on security and the switch provides 802.1X authentication on the port level. The end user is asked to enter his username and password before the required data is sent. User access can be strictly limited and and MAC addresses can be filtered. The switch is designed for installation in standard cabinets Rack 1U sized shafts. It comes with a mounting kit.
