Each lamp has a lifetime of 500,000 light pulses, i.e. that you have a total of 1.5 million flashes (attachment for epilation, problematic skin and anti-age). You will undoubtedly use the most flashes during epilation. If you follow the recommended treatment intervals and epilate the most common areas (legs, underarms and bikini area) regularly, the light pulses will last you a lifetime. These are average calculations of the flashes used based on the results of a test group of women (size M, height approx. 165 cm, weight approx. 60 kg).
The average number of flashes per body part varies for calf (60-90 flashes), thigh (120-140), armpit (5-7) and bikini (16-20).

With a fully charged battery, the epilator gives you up to 1350 flashes on the lowest setting and up to 500 flashes on the highest setting. It uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, which has been subjected to more than 15 years of clinical trials worldwide. This scientifically proven technology provides fast and lasting results. During epilation, flashes of intense pulsed light with a wavelength of 530 nm penetrate below the skin surface, where they act on the dark pigment of the hair. This thermal effect contributes to the removal of hair and roots and prevents their re-growth.
The Concept IL5020 has two modes and an attachment for comfortable full-body epilation
The IL5020 IPL epilator is suitable for removing hair from the whole body. You can use two modes. Gliss mode is used to treat larger areas such as legs, arms, chest, back, etc. The epilator sends out continuous flashes in a row, allowing for faster and smoother treatments. Use Precision mode to treat the hardest to reach and most sensitive areas such as the face, underarms, bikini area, etc. The device sends single pulses based on the press of the pulse release button. In this mode, we recommend using the additional magnetic attachments (face + bikini) to target the desired spot more precisely.
Extension for problematic skin
Intense pulsed light is part of dermatological treatment and is commonly used to treat skin problems. The attachment is equipped with a colour filter with a wavelength of 490-1200 nm. Cleanse your skin before using this attachment. Choose the lowest intensity 1 and never send more than 3 flashes to the same location. Not recommended for use on open wounds.
Anti age extender for beautiful skin
You can also encounter intense pulsed light technology in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. Thanks to the anti-age attachment with a wavelength of 600-1200 nm, the light reaches the deeper layers of the skin, where it acts on collagen and elastin fibres. Perform the treatment on clean skin every 3 days and use the lowest intensity 1. Never send more than 3 flashes to the same spot. This treatment is not recommended for pigment spots that are not of hormonal origin and for open wounds.
Extension with cooling effect
We recommend using this attachment as a final treatment after hair removal with an IPL epilator. The application surface with a cooling effect has a pleasant effect on the treated areas.

How to properly use the Concept IL5020 Perfect Skin Pro Anti Age IPL epilator
The skin to be epilated must be clean, dry and shaved before using the IPL epilator. Choose the appropriate one of five light intensity levels for your skin type - the lighter your skin phototype, the higher the intensity level. Press the application surface of the epilator against the skin. At the touch of a button, the Concept IL5020 epilator sends out a light pulse. Avoid releasing more than one pulse on the same part of the skin during one treatment. You may feel a slight sensation of warmth or tingling during epilation, but it should never be painful. If you feel pain, you need to reduce the intensity of the radiation.
When will the first results come?
Results after epilation vary between users based on their hair colour, the body part being treated and the method of application. You can notice the first successes on your body after only 4 weeks of regular epilation. If you are a beginner, the first 4 treatments are recommended 2 weeks apart. Repeat the epilation every 4 weeks thereafter until the desired result is achieved.
Concept IL5020 has an eye protection sensor
The Concept IPL epilator IP5020 has a built-in safety sensor that prevents a pulse from being sent if you point the epilator into an open area. Thanks to this sensor, the device will only work properly when the application surface is in contact with the skin. The use of the device is therefore safe and there is no risk of eye damage. You do not need to use special protective goggles during epilation. If you are removing facial hair, we recommend closing your eyes during the flash. This prevents minor glare comparable to the power of a camera flash, which is not a health hazard but can be unpleasant.
Don't wait for summer
If you want beautifully smooth skin in summer, start epilating well in advance. The skin must not be exposed to sunlight for at least 1 week before and at least 1 week after using the IPL epilator. Protect your skin from the sun throughout the treatment. Exposure to sunlight means being in direct sunlight without protection for about 15 minutes or being in indirect sunlight without protection for 1 hour. If you have applied self-tanner to your skin, wait until the tanning effect of the cream has worn off completely. The IPL epilator can be used by men and women over 18 years of age.

When not to use an IPL epilator
The Concept IL5020 Perfect Skin Pro Anti Age IPL Epilator should not be used on tattooed body parts, areas with permanent make-up, freckles, birthmarks and other dark marks. Cover these areas thoroughly before use. At the same time, IPL epilation is not recommended for people with very sensitive skin, skin diseases, high incidence of red veins, varicose veins or pregnant and lactating women.
