FPV, short for First Person View, is a technology in the context of drones that allows the pilot to see a live image directly from a camera mounted on the drone. This video signal is wirelessly transmitted to special video goggles or a monitor that the pilot has with them. This allows the pilot to control the drone as if they were sitting directly in its cockpit. This method of flying provides a high degree of control and an immersive experience. In contrast, conventional flying relies on visual line of sight, where the pilot watches the drone from the ground with their eyes. FPV is primarily used in drone racing, acrobatic flying, and also in the professional sphere for cinematic shots or inspections.
