IGMP

IGMP Snooping (Internet Group Management Protocol Snooping) is a feature of network switches that monitors IGMP communications between hosts and routers. This mechanism allows switches to intelligently manage multicast traffic and route it only to the ports that need it, thereby increasing network efficiency and reducing the load caused by redundant multicast traffic.
