Recirculation is one of the operating modes for fume cupboards that does not require outside air extraction. In recirculation, air is drawn in from the kitchen and filtered by a special carbon filter that removes dirt, odours and grease. The cleaned air is then discharged back into the room. In this way, unpleasant odours and air pollution can be effectively removed, which is useful if you don't have the option of installing an outside extraction.
