Single-point AF

Single-point AF is an autofocus mode, also known as automatic focusing, in which the photographer manually selects one specific focus point from the options provided by the camera. The camera system then focuses only on the subject located at the position of this selected point, ignoring other points in the frame. This focusing method provides precise control over where the image will be focused. It is primarily used in situations where the main subject is not in the center of the scene, or when it is necessary to focus on a small detail, such as an eye in portrait photography, thereby avoiding focusing on distracting surrounding elements.
