Sport Mode is a drone flight mode that prioritizes speed and agility over stabilization functions. Upon activation, the drone reaches its maximum speed and is more responsive to commands from the controller, allowing for sharper maneuvers. This is achieved by permitting greater tilt angles of the aircraft. In this mode, the obstacle detection and avoidance system is typically deactivated, so all responsibility for safe flight lies with the pilot. However, the drone's position is still stabilized by GPS, meaning the drone will hover in place if the pilot releases the controller sticks. This mode is suitable for experienced pilots or for filming fast-moving objects. Flying in sport mode also significantly reduces battery life.
