Direct thermal printing

Direct thermal printing is a printing technology that uses heat to create an image on a special thermosensitive paper. This method does not require the use of ink or toner because the printer directly heats the paper, which changes colour in response to the heat. Direct thermal printing is popular for printing labels, receipts and other temporary documents, but the printed output is less resistant to light and heat, which can cause it to fade or become damaged.
