Digital cameras are based on the design of classic film cameras, but they capture images using a light-sensitive electronic Sensor (CCD or CMOS), then store them in digital form to internal memory or memory cards. Captured photos can be printed directly, shared, or saved to your computer for further editing. Digital cameras offer new and useful features, such as previewing images on LCD displays, deleting unwanted photos, and recording video, including sound.
