EATON UPS 9PX 2200i RT2U Netpack Li-Ion

The EATON 9PX 2200i RT2U UPS with Netpack Li-Ion uses online double-conversion topology for a continuous power supply to sensitive electronics. This 2200VA online UPS delivers a true power output of 2200W thanks to its unity power factor, which means efficient use of capacity for connected devices. The internal layout includes modern lithium-ion batteries, which offer a longer lifespan, faster charging, and lower weight compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. The package includes a network card for full network integration and remote management. Thanks to its flexible Rack/Tower design, you can install the EATON 9PX 2200i UPS in a standard 2U rack or use it as a standalone tower.

Topology and performance

This UPS uses online double-conversion topology, which continuously monitors the power supply and delivers a pure sine wave without any interruption when switching to battery. It provides an apparent power of 2200VA and a true power of 2200W, which corresponds to a unity power factor. Its high, Energy Star-certified efficiency helps reduce operating costs and thermal losses. The backup time at full load is 11.5 minutes, extending to 22.5 minutes at half load.

Battery and protection

The core of the unit is its lithium-ion batteries, which offer a longer lifespan, lower weight, and faster recharging compared to lead-acid batteries. The internal batteries are hot-swappable, and you can increase the total capacity by connecting up to four external battery modules (EBMs). The system includes deep discharge protection, which extends battery life. An internal bypass maintains power to connected devices even in the event of an internal UPS failure. For management, it has a USB port (HID compliant), an RS232 serial port, and a Mini terminal block for remote control. The included Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector software supports automatic and safe shutdown of servers, including virtual environments. A graphical LCD clearly displays operating statuses and enables energy consumption measurement down to the outlet group level. An IEC C20 input connector powers the UPS itself. There are a total of ten output sockets available: eight IEC C13 types and two IEC C19 types for devices with higher power consumption.
