El Dorado 12 rum stands out with its beautiful colour and a full, spicy aroma with hints of fresh tropical fruit and toasted bread. Enjoy a round, soft, full body with the power of fruit, tobacco, orange peel, and a flavour of oak. El Dorado 12 is based on a blend of perfectly matured rums, some up to 18 years old. It has a fresh, sweetish aroma reminiscent of bananas, caramel, almonds, fried tropical fruits, and citrus. It is neither heavy nor overly sweet. El Dorado 12 is a light-style rum, whose main advantage is its perfectly balanced flavour. It is matured in oak casks.
El Dorado 12 has won several awards
This very special El Dorado 12 rum has been awarded a gold medal three times at the Caribbean Rum Taste Test, held annually in London for the last 10 years. It also received a seal of approval at the International Spirits Challenge in London in 1998. At the Chicago Beverage Tasting Institute, it scored 95 out of 100 and was awarded a gold medal. El Dorado 12 rum is now considered a classic Caribbean product.
