Given that each one of us prefers a different temperature, choose a fan with multiple speeds. One important factor to keep in mind is the noise- something very unwelcome when sleeping, for example. Quieter fans are more expensive, but the extra comfort is worth the money. The rule here is, the fewer dB (decibels), the lower the noise.
