The FRANKE FMY 839 HI 2.0 is a combined appliance that brings together an induction hob and an integrated extractor hood. The induction hob is equipped with four cooking zones, two of which can be bridged to conveniently heat larger cookware. Induction technology is popular due to its very fast heating, low energy consumption, high level of safety and intuitive controls. The hob's surface is made of durable glass with an elegant black finish. The appliance measures 83 × 52 × 23 cm (W × D × H), making it particularly suitable for larger kitchen worktops. It offers nine heating levels and a range of practical functions, such as a child lock, melting, a timer and a Booster function. The integrated extractor hood has an extraction rate of up to 700 m³/h, with eight power levels and two intensive settings. A filter saturation indicator alerts you when it's time to replace the filter. Control is provided by four built-in touch panels with white LED lights and a Slide controller. The appliance requires professional installation by an electrician (230/400V).

How the Induction Hob Works
The FRANKE FMY 839 HI 2.0 induction hob works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. An electric current passes through an induction coil, creating a magnetic field that induces an eddy current at the bottom of suitable cookware. This causes the pan to heat up directly, while the surrounding surface remains relatively cool. This makes cooking fast, energy-efficient and safe. Two litres of water can be brought to the boil in approximately four minutes.
