Gallax 7,5mg/ml drops 30 ml

Gallax, as a colonic laxative, stimulates the natural emptying of the colon. Therefore, Gallax will neither alter digestion nor the absorption of dietary energy components or other nutrients in the small intestine. Gallax is used: for the treatment of acute functional constipation, for occasional use to facilitate defecation in chronic constipation.

Dosage and method of use

Always take this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dosage of the product is:
Adults:
Use 10-20 drops once a day. At the beginning of treatment, it is advisable to start with 10 drops. Subsequently, the dose can be adjusted up to a maximum dose of 20 drops to induce regular bowel movements. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 20 drops per day.
Children and Adolescents:
Children should take Gallax only after consulting a physician. Adults and children over 10 years of age take 10-20 drops once a day. At the beginning of treatment, it is advisable to start with 10 drops. Subsequently, the dose can be adjusted up to a maximum dose of 20 drops to induce regular bowel movements. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 20 drops per day. Children aged 4-10 years take 5-10 drops once a day. At the beginning of treatment, it is advisable to start with 5 drops. Subsequently, the dose can be adjusted up to a maximum dose of 10 drops to induce regular bowel movements. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 10 drops per day. Method of administration Gallax is taken in the evening before bedtime, emptying occurs the next morning. The effect usually occurs 6-12 hours after administration. Gallax can be taken regularly, with daily administration, for a maximum of two weeks, both with and without consulting a doctor. If you need to take laxatives every day, or if you suffer from persistent abdominal pain, see your doctor.

Contraindications

Do not take Gallax if you are allergic to sodium picosulphate or any of the other ingredients in this product (listed in section 6); if you have intestinal blockage (ileus) or difficulty in passing the intestines; severe abdominal pain and/or febrile sudden abdominal episodes (e.g. appendicitis) associated with a feeling of nausea and vomiting; in acute inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. ulcerative colitis - inflammation of the large intestine accompanied by the formation of ulcers in the intestine) in severe dehydration (loss of water from the body). Constipation, associated with other complaints such as abdominal pain, vomiting and fever, can be a sign of serious illness. With such difficulties, Gallax must not be taken and a doctor must be sought without delay.

Storage

Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and bottle after "Use by". After the first opening, use the product within three months. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. This product does not require any special storage conditions. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
