Key features of the ASUS ROG Raikiri II XBOX WL gamepad
- Wireless tri-mode connection via USB, Bluetooth, or 2.4GHz RF
- For controlling games on compatible PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms
- Joysticks with TMR technology provide anti-drift protection
- Integrated battery lasts for up to 50 hours of use with backlighting off
- The design includes a total of 14 individual buttons
Connectivity options
The controller supports three different ways to connect to your gaming devices. For PC gaming, you can use a low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connection, Bluetooth, or a detachable cable. The certification for Xbox Series X|S applies to the wired connection and the 2.4GHz wireless transmission. ROG SpeedNova wireless technology with a 1000Hz polling rate minimises signal delay when playing on PC.
TMR joysticks with anti-drift protection
The analogue sticks use TMR technology, which provides high-precision motion tracking. The system consumes less power compared to standard Hall effect joysticks. The sensors used effectively prevent unwanted spontaneous movement, known as stick drift. The package includes two interchangeable high-profile caps to customise the height of the joysticks.
Adjustable triggers and mechanical switches
The rear triggers offer the option to mechanically switch the travel distance depending on the game genre. Players can choose between a short travel with a microswitch and a full range with a TMR sensor. Other controls, including the D-Pad, feature microswitches with instant tactile feedback for rapid command input. The switches provide a crisp click and reduce the time needed to activate the button.
Customisation
The controller's design was created in close collaboration with the ROG Ally gaming handheld, which is evident from the two special rear buttons for shortcuts. The integrated battery provides power for up to 50 hours of wireless operation on the 2.4GHz band. This figure applies with the backlighting, vibrations, and audio output turned off.
Ergonomic shape and additional controls
The controller's body has a non-slip textured surface that helps maintain a stable grip, even during long-term use. The integrated 3.5mm analogue audio port is for connecting a headset directly to the controller on both Xbox and PC platforms. Users have access to software mapping for individual configuration of game profiles.
