8 Eyes
Journey into a post-apocalyptic world where you'll search for rare gems known as the 8-Eyes. The goal is to get all eight treasures and then place them on an altar, but the path to them will lead you through a series of platforms, enemies and dangerous obstacles. This classic 8-bit platformer offers fast-paced action and the option of two-player co-op.
Brave Battle Saga
For fans of sprawling RPGs, there's Brave Battle Saga: Legend of the Magic Warrior, an epic adventure that offers approximately 40 hours of gameplay. You'll gradually explore the game world, meet various characters, and engage in turn-based combat where using your party's abilities correctly is crucial. With its strong story, fantasy setting, and wealth of content, it's one of the most prominent RPG titles in the collection.
Canon – Legends of the New Gods
Canon: The Legend of the New Gods takes you to a world inspired by Chinese mythology, where adventure combines with tactical thinking. As a strategic RPG, the game is built on story, combat, and decision-making, where how you lead your expedition matters. Explore the mythological world, plan your next moves, and use the abilities of individual characters to overcome opponents.
Drakkhen
With Drakkhen, you'll embark on one of the early RPG adventures that offered real-time combat and freer movement in a 3D environment. The game gives you space for your own exploration, so you don't have to stick to a single pre-determined path and can figure out where to go next on your own. The result is an adventure with a distinct atmosphere, extensive world exploration, and combat that was a rather bold step forward for its time.
Dragon View
Dragon View offers an RPG adventure from a slightly different perspective. While traditional role-playing games often rely on a top-down view, here you'll navigate the game world in a side-scrolling view while also facing enemies in more action-oriented combat. The 3D-like environment and fantasy quest create a unique combination of exploration, story, and combat encounters. The game is also associated with the titles Drakkhen II and Super Drakkhen, but it is a standalone adventure.
Dorke and Ymp
One of the most interesting discoveries in the collection is Dorke and Ymp, a platformer originally created in the '90s by the Swedish studio Norse, which was never released at the time. After about 25 years, it finally reaches players as a remarkable retro gem. As Dorke, you will complete various tasks for your evil wizard, overcoming platforming obstacles and other dangers as you travel the world. Its unusual origin is what makes the game an interesting part of the collection.
Iron Commando
If you're in the mood for a heavy dose of arcade action, Iron Commando sends you straight into streets full of enemies. A total of 10 levels of classic beat 'em up carnage await you, where you'll advance and take down opponents one by one. The simple concept is complemented by a fast pace and a two-player option, so you can enjoy co-op battles in the typical spirit of arcade machines.
The Immortal
The Immortal brings a darker atmosphere, an isometric action-adventure combining RPG elements with a fantasy world full of danger. Exploration is complemented by combat, puzzles, and other situations where you'll need to proceed with caution. The game offers surprising depth, and thanks to the save state feature on Evercade, you can more easily return to the spots where your adventure ended.
Jim Power – The Lost Dimension
Jim Power – The Lost Dimension manages to switch between several gameplay styles in a single adventure. The foundation is a classic platformer, complemented by side-scrolling shooter sections and striking graphical effects. The game is known for its high difficulty, so a real challenge awaits you, requiring you to memorise dangerous passages. On Evercade, you'll appreciate the ability to use save states to gradually work your way through even the tougher parts.
Nightshade
Metro City needs a hero, and in Nightshade, that hero is you. As a masked superhero, you'll take on the criminal underworld, confront its leaders, and try to bring the city back under control. This adventure title is built on a combination of action, exploration, and a comic book world atmosphere. And thanks to Evercade, you can take your superhero quest with you and continue it at home or on the go.
Power Piggs of the Dark Ages
Power Piggs of the Dark Ages offers a rather unconventional medieval adventure, pitting two long-feuding groups against each other – pigs and wolves. The game features a light-hearted setting and quirky humour, which accompanies classic platformer gameplay. In addition to navigating the levels, you'll face numerous enemies and obstacles, and you can enjoy the adventure alone or with a friend.
Power Punch II
This time, you'll move from the ring straight into space. In Power Punch II, Earth's boxing champion issues an open challenge, and opponents from across the galaxy start signing up to fight. You'll face progressively more challenging opponents and bouts where timing your punches and reacting to your opponent's style is key. Traditional boxing thus gets an unusual sci-fi twist, creating one of the craziest sports games in the collection.
Radical Rex
The main hero of Radical Rex is a dinosaur who certainly doesn't stick to just walking. Rex moves through the world in a style that combines classic platforming with a healthy dose of '90s 'cool' aesthetics, complete with grinding over obstacles and acrobatic moves. Along the way, you'll encounter enemies, obstacles, and varied levels that give this classic dinosaur adventure a distinctly unique character.
Switchblade
A bleak dystopian environment awaits in Switchblade, which combines classic platforming elements with run-and-gun style action. The game is heavily inspired by anime aesthetics, giving its world a different feel from many other retro titles in the collection. You'll progress through a hostile environment, take out enemies, and find a way forward, while the fast pace won't let you rest for long.
The Humans
The Humans presents a completely different kind of challenge. Instead of fast-paced combat or precise jumping, you'll mainly need to think, as your task is to safely guide a group of quirky prehistoric people through each level. Each situation requires the right strategy and use of available abilities to get the whole group where it needs to go. The distinctive graphics and humorous approach also give this puzzle platformer a pleasantly light-hearted atmosphere.
Tinhead
The colourful world of Tinhead awaits a hero who can save the night sky from an intergalactic goblin. That's why Tinhead springs into action, equipped with a rather unusual weapon in the form of a vacuum cleaner. A classic platforming quest awaits, full of enemies, obstacles, and diverse environments, built on fast-paced gameplay and distinctive retro graphics. The result is a playful adventure that retains its unique humour and the charm of its era.
Top Racer
Racing fans will also get their fix. Top Racer puts you behind the wheel and lets you choose your own racer to try and fight your way to victory. In addition to classic racing, the game also offers a split-screen for two players, so you can test your driving skills directly against a friend. The arcade style, fast races, and simple controls fit perfectly with the atmosphere of classic console racers.
Exploding Fist
Exploding Fist combines elements of a fighting game and a karate simulator, taking you back to the arcade action of the mid-80s. Here, it's not just about mashing buttons, but primarily about proper timing and mastering individual fighting techniques. The fights feel more technical than in classic brawlers, giving space to players who want to master the game system and gradually improve. There's also the option to face off against another player.
Water Margin
You'll revisit the world of Chinese mythology through Water Margin, this time in the form of classic beat 'em up action. The story's setting gives the familiar concept of progressing through levels and eliminating enemies a more distinct atmosphere and offers a varied environment inspired by Chinese legends. Thanks to the two-player option, you can tackle the fights together and battle your way through the entire adventure.
