PS3 - Soul Calibur IV (Essentials Edition)
The final clash of two swords
The story of the legendary swords continues in Soul Calibur IV PS3 as the battle between good and evil enters its decisive phase. Soulcalibur delivers epic atmosphere, impressive visuals and a narrative that builds towards Siegfried's final confrontation with his greatest nightmare.
Critical Strike Attacks
Soul Calibur IV PS3's gameplay is enhanced by new modes, a revamped combat system and significantly more dynamic battles. Each character has its own Critical Strike attack, and the new AMB system adds even more tension and fluidity to matches.
Online battles
For the first time in the series' history, you can take on players from around the world online. You'll also find a variety of interactive environments, including enhanced classic arenas, and a special surprise iconic guest from the world of Star Wars.
STORY
Old and new characters
Soul Calibur IV PS3 builds on Namco Bandai's successful fighting game franchise with an even more epic take on gun battles. The new story takes you to a world where legendary swords and the fates of warriors both new and familiar collide once again. Favorite characters such as Mitsurugi, Ivy and the dark Nightmare return, complemented by a host of new heroes and adversaries with their own fighting styles and motivations.
POSITION
Harness the dark power
Another big attraction in Soul Calibur IV PS3 is the connection to the Star Wars world. Each next-generation console version of the game features an exclusive character from this famous universe that adds to the combat and atmosphere of the game. In the PlayStation 3 version, you can take on the Sith Lord Darth Vader himself and use his iconic lightsaber and dark power in fierce duels.
KOMBA
New combat abilities coming
Soul Calibur IV PS3's gameplay builds on the franchise's proven foundations, but adds new combat abilities and an Active Matching Battle system that lets you chain devastating combos and react faster to your opponent's style. Combat is more dynamic, fluid and places more emphasis on timing, strategy and precise weapon control.
ARENAS
Compete online against opponents from around the world
The technical side of Soul Calibur IV PS3 is one of the best of its time. Detailed and fast-paced 720p graphics add a cinematic touch to every clash and highlight the elaborate arenas and character animations. Of course, there's also an online mode where you can compare your skills with players from all over the world to see who's the true master of the sword.
