Garmin Varia Radar
Garmin Varia Radar
Do you often drive for journeys where car transport also occurs? Then you are ready for a Garmin Varia Bicycle Radar. According to the available statistics, the most accidents with the presence of a cyclist are caused by a car impact just behind. In the past, efforts have been made to equip the wheel with rear-view mirrors or detect the approaching vehicle's noise, but similar equipment has its limitations. Reverse cycling radar is able to detect the car well in advance and not only warn the cyclist himself in a timely manner , but by increasing the intensity of the rear, warning light at the same time as the driver approaching the car.
Key features
- a clever solution to prevent a car crash
- warns both the cyclist and the driver of the vehicle
- suitable for combination with Garmin Edge
- watertight version of the IPX7 standard
- wireless communication with ANT + technology
A smart solution for your safety
The Garmin Varia Radar Retro Cycle Radar includes a rear bicycle light with built-in radar. The rear radar light detects the approaching vehicle at a distance of up to 140 meters behind a cyclist, and the shorter distance between the vehicle and the cyclist increases the intensity of the light. After pairing with a compatible Garmin Edge, located on the handlebars, it can simultaneously display up to 8 upcoming cars and remind them of their distance.
