Gaviscon Duo Effect chewable tablets are a combination of two antacids (calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate) and alginate, which act in a dual action: 1. neutralizes excessive stomach acid, thereby eliminating pain and indigestion; 2. it forms a protective barrier over the stomach contents, thereby relieving burning pain in the chest; it can take up to 4 hours. This medication is used to treat acid-related symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, such as acid reflux into the esophagus and oral cavity, heartburn, and indigestion, such as after eating or during pregnancy.
Dosage and method of use
Adults including elderly patients and children aged 12 years and older: When symptoms appear, take two to four tablets after meals and in the evening before bed, up to four times a day. Children under 12 years of age: They should take this medicine only on the recommendation of a doctor.
Contraindications
Due to the amount of medicinal substance in the tablet, the product is not intended for children under 6 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before taking this medicine. If necessary, you can take Paralen 500 mg tablets during pregnancy. Take the lowest possible dose to relieve pain and/or fever and take it for the shortest possible time. If the pain and/or fever does not ease or if you need to take the medicine more often, contact your doctor. Breastfeeding women can take the product for 1 day, longer than 1 day can only take the product after consulting a doctor.

Storage
Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Store at temperatures up to 30 °C (25 °C for polypropylene packaging) and keep in the original packaging to protect the product from moisture. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
