The Pascal GP104 graphics core features 2 560 CUDA cores with 160 texture units. The base clock counts at 1,759 MHz, and during the Boost mode it flies to a remarkable 1,936 MHz.

Gigabyte Aorus is betting on extreme overclocking
Gigabyte wants to wrap around the world's toughest players. The special AORUS model offers a record-breaking factory overclocking of the GTX 1080 chip. However, it requires a good quality cooling, which in this case is provided by the WindForce 3X technology. The cooler essentially consists of three layers. The top is formed by a triple layer of 100mm ball bearing fans, of which the middle is recessed, and has the opposite direction of rotation. Beneath the fans is a large aluminum passivity complete with six heatpipe tubes for better heat dissipation. The third layer then provides a black metal backplate.
