In Greece it is known as mountain tea. The inhabitants of Rodopi are said to be among the people with the highest life expectancy in Europe and perhaps in the world, perhaps due to a combination of various influences, including a clean environment and a healthy diet that includes, in addition to the beneficial yoghurt, Mursala tea. This herb, which was known to the ancient Thracians, is still considered in Bulgaria as an elixir of longevity and a panacea against various diseases.
