HDMI Mini and HDMI Micro

HDMI Mini - also known as HDMI Type C, it's present on a large number of laptops and larger mobile devices; compatible with conventional HDMI
HDMI Micro - also known as HDMI Type D, used for tablets and other small portable devices

Breakdown of HDMI Cable Types

HDMI cables are divided according to their connectors:

HDMI connection cables - have a male connector at both ends of the cable. These are primarily used to connect two display devices.
HDMI extension cables - have a different connector at each end. They are used to extend short HDMI cables.

HDMI 1.4

The most widespread type of HDMI connector, used by most ordinary multimedia devices. Its advantages are the transmission of uncompressed data and the fact that you only need one cable for both video and audio. You can also buy them for pennies.

HDMI 2.1

HDMI 2.1 will also be appreciated by gamers, as the new standard will provide the same features as FreeSync and G-Sync, allowing the same gaming improvements for a fraction of the cost.
