Helicid Neo is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation). It is specially formulated for fast and long-lasting relief from discomfort.
This innovative medicine contains the immediate-release drug omeprazole. Omeprazole belongs to a group of medicines called "proton pump inhibitors". They work by reducing the amount of acid that forms in the stomach. One capsule of Helicide NEO contains 20 mg of omeprazole. Helicid NEO contains sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), which rapidly neutralizes the acidic pH of the stomach (within 5 minutes) and protects omeprazole from acid degradation, allowing for rapid absorption.

Ingredients
One hard capsule contains 20 mg of omeprazole. Excipients: Sodium bicarbonate (E 500ii), sodium salt of carboxymethyl starch (type A), sodium stearyl fumarate (E 485).
Dosage
The recommended dose is one (20 mg) capsule once daily for 14 days. Patients with impaired liver function should consult a physician before use. Take on an empty stomach, min. 30 minutes before meals and min. 2 hours after eating. The capsule must not be chewed or opened. A medicine for internal use. Contains omeprazole. Read the package insert carefully.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Omeprazole can be given during pregnancy.
